"Tribute to Harold Wallace" by Kenneth E. Ishmael.

He was never a shouter.  He didn't raise his voice in church. He sat quietly and worshipped the Lord.  He was a humble man with a quiet confidence in God.  He will not be remembered for the flamboyant things he did or said. He will not be missed because of his verbal contributions.  But he sure will be missed for what he didn't do.  He never criticized, complained, or opposed.  He was this pastor's friend.  He stood quietly with me in decisions I had to make.   I have lost a lot of sleep over people who seemingly were more religious; But never Harold.  He didn't make trouble for anyone. I guess you could say there was not any trouble in him. I never heard him speak poorly of another person. So in all this, I will surely miss him.  I also realize at this loss that you take for granted those that never complained.  It seems as a pastor I am trying so hard to grease the squeaky wheels that I fail to appreciate the wheels I never had to grease.  The little Wallace community south of Emory will surely miss this great man. The Freedom Church of God will have an empty spot on a pew.  Someone else may sit there, and I hope they are able to take on the wonderful spirit that prevailed in Harold Wallace.  I remembered his mother; the same loving quiet spirit that I have enjoyed so long in Harold.  So consider this a tribute to a great man. A man who will take his place in my memory as one of the most loving I have had the honor to pastor.  On the streets of Glory today a man looks over his new home. He is unaware of the heartaches that are going on down here.  The only way he will remember you is if you follow in his footsteps.  If you fail, God will hide this from his eyes and he will never remember you again. But, if you follow the Lord as he did, you will one day step on that golden shore.  I know one of the first to greet you will be none other than Harold Wallace.  And as for this pastor, it will be a grand and glorious day.

Daddy's Song

By: Matt Miller

Ridin' on his tractor
 Mowin' in the field,
Though he didn't always feel his best
To keep going was his will,
 Working in the garden
 Plantin' roses by the drive,
Sometimes his body would grow tired
But in his heart he had to try.

 Husband, brother, daddy, papa
He was so much to everyone,
He was proud of all his family
His wife, daughters, and his son,
Making sure he did all that he could
So they all had what they'd need,
If it hadn't been for this great man
 Where would this family be.

 (Chorus)

 Now he's in Heaven
 Where the angels sing,
 Red, red roses, golden streets
 He has everything,
 Now he's up there waiting
For the one's he left behind,
Waiting with the loved ones gone before
He knows we'll all be there in time.
